  18. After installing Microsoft Windows NT or Windows NT Advanced Server on a
  19. Gateway 2000 P5-60 the mouse appears jumpy, hesitant, or stops working
  20. altogether.

  22. CAUSE
  23. =====
  24.  
  25. According to Gateway 2000 technical support the Advanced ISA Timing on the
  26. P5-60 should be disabled by default. However, it is enabled on many of
  27. their computers.
  28.  
  29. RESOLUTION
  30. ==========
  31.  
  32. To correct the erratic mouse behavior, change the Advanced ISA Timing
  33. setting in the Advanced CMOS setup to disabled.
  34.
